Mariasun Salgado de la Rosa, earned a Master of Architecture in 1995 and a PhD in Architecture in 2004, both from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. Since 2001 she works as a university lecturer especially in the field of Drawing at the Superior Technical School of Architecture of Madrid (ETSAM).

Additionally, she has collaborated with the contemporary art fair ARCO in 2002 and 2003, writing for the fair’s publication ARCO Noticias. She is the author of several educational books and numerous articles related to architecture critics.

Professionally, she combines architecture practice with creation of graphical art works and participates regularly in architecture competitions in which she obtained several prizes.

The production of her graphical works is characterized by the representation of the conflicts which are generated between architecture and its environments, specifically those being derived from the urban massification and the concept of hyper-density.All these topics relate to architecture, are treated through a hybrid graphical language and escape both realism and abstraction.
